According to Article 80 of the Italian Highway Code, passenger cars and commercial vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes must undergo regular roadworthiness inspections – the first inspection takes place 4 years after the vehicle’s first registration and every 2 years thereafter.

With our “pre-inspection” (Vorkollaudo) service, we check all safety-relevant areas of your vehicle in advance. If any defects are found, we prepare a quotation and discuss the available repair options with you to ensure that your vehicle can pass the inspection safely.

At our automotive workshop, we carry out vehicle inspections every day and ensure that your vehicle is safe and compliant with legal requirements.

The inspection is due in the month in which the vehicle was first registered or last inspected. It can be carried out at any time during that month.

For imported used vehicles, a different inspection schedule may apply. The relevant date is stated on the vehicle registration document.

A successful inspection is confirmed by an inspection sticker on the vehicle registration document. In the event of an unsuccessful inspection, the identified defects must be repaired and the inspection repeated within 30 days at the same inspection centre or at the Motor Vehicle Registration Office.
